Smidge arrived at almost a year old, after a long journey from Pitchfork Valley Ranch in Alberta, Canada.  I purchased her because of her unique pattern . If you want to produce unusual horses, you must start with unusual mares!  Smidge has some notable ancestors, such as Earthquake Ike (Champion Cutting horse) ,  Mighty Bright,  Top Quest, Wapiti and Poco Bueno. So I brought her home to be a part of our band of broodmares.  Three years later she is in foal to Mighty Bright Reward for a late May foal.   She is a short stout mare, l4.2 hands so far, with an easy going personality.  Her genetic panel is nn for 5 of 6 panels, and one gene for GBED (which is recessive and will not affect her or her foal).   I hope her first foaling is also easy going, and I will try to be by her side.

Below are some pictures of Smidge as a baby in her original home and as a yearling and two year old here in KY.
