Our Appaloosa mares are getting ready to present us with our 2026 Appaloosa foal crop.  There are 9 colorful mares due to foal. This year the foals are due in February through June.  The babies are sired by two different stallions. I will be working day and night to attend each birth and to give each foal the proper time and attention. Spring and summer will be spent teaching them to be gentle and well mannered for their new owners.

I will post each mare as her time grows near and detail her development and delivery.  The foals will be posted within a day or two of their birth.  They can be reserved until weaning time with a   33% non refundable deposit.  Click here to see our full Policy on foal sales.

I hope you enjoy the foaling season as much as I do.
I love sharing this experience with my visitors, especially those not lucky enough to have horses
of their own.

Each of the mares' photos are linked to their personal page.. just click!
Rosie X Mighty Bright Reward

Rosie is a short stocky mare, smart as a whip, strong and fast.   This is her third foal for us with Samson as sire.
CLick on her picture to see her page and past foals, Valentine and Nutmeg!
Rosie went into labor February 25th and I awoke in time to help her just a little so ease the work of delivering her filly.
Delilah was born friendly and easy to work with.. curious and independent.  An explorer on the farm.
This filly will be a LP/LP color producer and is offered at $3600
Summer X Remaarkable Panda (Max)
       Due February 25

Summers wide full body comes from her sire, Dreamin Dun, and is a perfect cross for Max's tall, lean, athletic build.   This is her third baby, and it could be Bay or red based , with appaloosa color.

Summer was born here, and her dam is Peaches, KK the Dream Begins. She is a bay fewspot LP/LP Ee AA PATN1/n

March 9,   About 12 days past her date, Summer had a breakfast baby once again!  This means after i slept in the barn l7 nights in a row.. i went up to get breakfast and came back to a baby!

 Katrina is a bay fewspot .. 6 panel nn   LP/LP Ee Aa n/PATN1  nd1
She is offered at $4000  RESERVED!
February 25,  2:20 am.. She's Here!  Rosie did all the right things leading up to foaling to show me she was ready.  A full udder, low belly, glancing at her sides,  slashing her tail up and down periodically..  so i set an alarm for l:45 and found her to be in the first stage of labor.  By 2 am, she was starting to push her foal out, and at 2:20 I stepped in to add a little pull.  A deep red and white fewspot filly was soon on the ground.  This little one was on her feet by 2:50 am.  She's perfect.
Pics are at two weeks old... . also check our FB Palisades Appaloosas page for more.
  Hadar Dream          "Sage"
Hadar Dream X Remaarkable Panda
    Due March 6

Sage was born here, left for 12 years, and came back to be a broodmare for us. She is another daughter of KK the Dream Begins, and sired by Nuggets Super Shado.   Sage has produced three gorgeous foals with Max, sadly one was still born.  Im excited to see this new addition.
Sage is homozygous for black and leopard pattern.
March 6 , how prompt!!  normally Sage is over due to foal by as much as l8 days! Not this year!  Her solid black filly, Athena , with a big star and dorsal stripe.. arrived without help from me, until we got to the standing and nursing , which came quickly to her.
She has a beautiful head and conformation and her color genetics are a gold mine.  EE  aa PATN1/PATN1  lp/lp    nd1/nd1 (primitive markings)  She is 6 pane nn as well.
AThena is reserved at $4000
CMS Milliondollarbaby X Mighty Bright Reward    Due April 3rd

Babe and Samson are a great cross, both for conformation (muscular and broad) and agreeable disposition.   Sometimes we get fewspots, and sometimes leopards. They can be black, bay or red based.  The surprise is always fun!  Babe has reached her due date and seems like we will have a foal within the week!
I've been sleeping in the barn and keeping a close eye on Babe for a week now since her due date.  She's showed me wax and milk both, but not a baby!

Roselyn's Smores X Remaarkable Panda (max)
       Due April 24th

This will be Smores third foal by Max, the last two being very colorful.  She began her foaling career with three solid black foals, including our mare, Ruby.
Smores surprised me one night when I went to open the gate to the pregnant mare paddock, and in ran Smores with this black filly at her side!  born that day!
This year, her udder began to enlarge early.  At this point,  it is totally full though we have 20 days till her due date.  I have been watching both Babe and Smores on camera from the tack room at night. I won't be surprised if they foal together!
